Welcome to City Center Gallery & Books

City Center Gallery & Books is the only bookstore in Historic Downtown Fayetteville. There are thousands of books in the store, and with access to used book stores all over the country, we can find just about any book you want.

We also have a selection of art by local artists, including Bob Rector, Johnny Horne, Cindy Burnham, and Winhouse. Their paintings, postcards, and photographs show Fayetteville from a point of view that only a local artist can.

Support Local Artists

When local photographer Cindy Burnham's husband, Rick Allen, was injured in an explosion, City Center Gallery & Books' Hank Parfitt came up with a great fundraising idea to help them. Photo prints by both Cindy Burnham and Johnny Horne will benefit the Get Well Rick Fund. The total amount, including commission, will be donated.

City Center Gallery & Books participates in the Downtown Alliance Fourth Friday. Each month, there is a new artist or writer at the store for you to meet. Stop in each month to discover the unique creative community found in Downtown Fayetteville.

Book Clubs

The Directions Book Club meets at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. They are taking the summer off and will begin meeting again in September. The Other Book Club meets in the store at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and will meet again in August. Click to see what the book clubs will be reading next.
