City Center Gallery & Books

Web design and content management

City Center Gallery & Books is a used book store and art gallery in downtown Fayetteville, NC. While working as a store clerk there, I learned HTML and CSS to resdesign their website, in addition to designing monthly email newsletters, managing social media accounts and finding a less expensive website hosting option.

I continued to manage their website for a year after leaving the store position. The website is no longer in use, but an archived copy is available for viewing.

Pathfinder Character Generator

Side Project: Learning to build a Javascript application

In an effort to better understand Javascript, I'm building a character builder for the popular roleplaying game, Pathfinder.

Halfway through, I began exploring the Angular framework and am exploring how frameworks might be used to develop more efficiently. This is an ongoing project.

I am a page designer for the Detroit Free Press, where I design create illustrations for all sections of the paper.

My duties also include weekly shifts performing web content management for Freep.com and managing social media brands for the company to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

From 2010 to 2013, I designed print pages for all sections of the Fayetteville Observer and its various community products.

My duties also included running the web desk on the weekends, which included manaaging FayObserver.com, related social media accounts and monitoring breaking news.
